Berry Pomeroy is a registered charity number 1172097. Berry Pomeroy was established in 1951 in order to provide a caring home for the elderly where Christian values would be upheld.
Berry Pomeroy consists of two Victorian houses that have been joined together. We have 22 bedrooms which are attractively decorated and furnished but we encourage Residents to bring a few of their own small pieces of furniture and possessions in order to make the room homely. All rooms are fitted with an emergency call bell.
Berry Pomeroy has two lounges. One is at the front of the house with views of the Grand Hotel parade of shops, and another is at the rear with views of the private garden and its summerhouse. The spacious dining room also looks out onto the garden. There are ample bathrooms and toilets throughout the house including two assisted baths.
Berry Pomeroy is registered and regulated by the CQC (Care Quality Commission). Our quality of care is measured against the legal requirements and regulations associated with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and the Care Act 2014. We are also in membership with the East Sussex Residential Care Association.
